Kickstart Your Flower Garden With These Flowering Plants

Flower gardens bring in the beauty, freshness and positivity into the surroundings. Flowery gardens are full of blossoming flowers of vibrant colors to give your garden a welcoming look. There are various patterns and shapes in which gardens are designed. These garden ideas are often made in consideration with growing challenges of the area. The large and wide places usually have large gardens while small, limited spaces may have only a small garden corner. This is how flowering plants have a great contribution in keeping the surroundings bright and welcoming.

Here are some of the flowering plants that can be a part of your flower garden space.

Limelight hydrangea: Medium moisture is best suited for this flowering shrub plant. It grows in partial to full sun. With an organically rich and well drained soil you can give a complete growth to this plant causing its branches to arch downward. This plant is easily maintained as a small shrub or pruned as a small hydrangea tree. This hydrangea shrub has textured coarse leaves. The best time to plant is in spring to summer as they start blooming in mid-summer.

Cherry Blossom Tree: The cherry blossom tree has two species. One is cultivated for the ornamental use and does not produce edible fruit. The other species produces the edible cherries. Flowering cherry trees grow into attractive trees. Thus cherry blossom tree is normally associated with the spring blooming trees in Washington, DC.

Lilac Bush: Lilac shrubs are tough and hard yet very easy to grow and require very low maintenance. The humus enriched and well drained soil along with at least 6 hours of sunlight are all that is required to get it to bloom. Lilac shrubs are cold weather shrubs and don't generally fare well in hot, humid regions. Typically grown in zones 7 and north.

Butterfly blush: Butterfly bushes can be found in such a variety of colors such as white, royal red, purple, pink and golden yellow color and even more like the bi-color buddleia. As the name notes, the butterfly bush attracts butterflies and will also attract hummingbirds and often bees.

Hedges: Safely enclose your flower garden inside a hedge. California Privet grows a beautiful evergreen hedge and unlike most privet varieties, it is not as invasive. While it does produce little white flowers in summer, California Privet is typically grown for its evergreen shrub beauty.

These flowering trees and flowering bushes can certainly give an attractive face to your garden.
